at what age do you think you should talk to you children about sex and how to do it?

What age is best to tell children about sex or should I at all? Its best if they hear it from me and not their friends isnt it? What do I tell them, I dont want to get to graphic for all of our sake but I want them to get the point and know what they are doing and how to protect themselves. Any help would be appreciated.

answer all their questions honestly. Dont lie or evade. When they are ready, they will ask. YOu should be the one to provide real answers so they dont have to go elsewhere.
